Would you rather have a lot of money but a 6/10 wife or have a reasonable amount of money and a 10/10 wife?
Hey all. I have a phone screen tomorrow with a recruiter from Audible in Newark, NJ for an SDE II position. Just curious on the following: - TC range (base pay) - work life balance (they’re really marketing their hub+home hybrid workplace) - interview process
I like the culture. Nice work life balance most part. They want everyone in 2x a week. Popular days are Tuesday through Thursday. TC seems to be slightly higher than amazon plus all the benefits. Loads of food in office + commuter card + $500 towards rent and mortgage if you live in Newark Immigration team is not the same as Amazon and sucks ass. You need to be 6 months tenure for a green card as opposed to day 1 for amazon (if you’re l4+) Overall I would pick my current position at audible over equivalent position at amazon.
That commuter card sounds nice because I might consider taking public transportation. Would you mind letting me know or DMing me how much a month they offer for the commuter card? Also is that offered after a certain amount of time working or right away?
$300 a month onto a master card that you can only use for transportation, or you get parking at the office. You can use the card to cover 50% of parking costs elsewhere also. You can get it right away, it takes a couple weeks to physically get the card and activate it but no eligibility requirement. There’s also a shuttle bus from the subway station to the office all day.
Yo nice! Yoe? I’ve heard its chill and people like it, not all too similar to amazon
That’s old news! Now it’s worst than Amazon cus they have synced everything with Amazon. I got piped early this year
