How are things at Rippling? Series B funding valued the company at 1.4B or so... had some initial discussions for 200k base 100,000 ISOs at strike of 1.93... How is it working with a US and India team? Good WLB? Bad? #rippling To be clear I am not talking about XRP. Current TC: 480k

Offers are mostly decided by YOE, and timing of joining. Yours seems for a staff level
I’ve been here for a while (in SF as well), and things have been great. WLB is pretty good in the US - average is around 8-10 hrs/day, I would question any startup with “excellent” WLB - IST friends have it much harder due to the shifted schedule to make meetings with PST morning but not really because of the hrs per day. The people you work with and your level of interest in the projects will probably make the most difference, so I would talk to your prospective manager to discuss projects and ask to speak with members of your future team. We have a solid bunch of people across the board, but this stuff is obviously team specific. Preemptively answering the follow up: Echoing what the former Googler above said, your offer is most likely for a high senior (L7) role and is solid. Short term TC and zero risk are not the strong points of a series B startup (even though we are better than most), so you’ll have to weigh that trade off yourself - everyone working here will be of one mind. No mostly India folks have lots of late night meeting with North American colleagues.
WLB is horrible in India. The expectations on deliverables are also extremely high
