YoE : 9 years Current TC : $305K Salary : $160K Bonus : $20K Stock: $120K With a desire to grow comp and buy a bigger home in the Bay Area, I interviewed and failed with FAANG gang. The best offer so far is from Roku (started with 330K offer) New TC $375K. New Salary : $300K Stock : $75K My outlook in both companies for salary growth is flat. Roku will not gives raises soon. AMD might inflation adjust my salary … might. However the core question here hinges on these three conclusions 1. ROKU outlook is much weaker from growth & stock appreciation perspective. 2. ROKU revenue sources are centered around personal & consumer media consumption. Whereas AMD (plus Xilinx acquisitions) is a fairly diversified source of revenue. 3. After doing some tax planning, current after-tax income with AMD is $205K while with ROKU it’s $245K Would this move from AMD to ROKU be advised ?

Stay away from roku, roku fire a lots, my team has 3 firing in last one year. I m waiting for my turn, looking to new opportunities
What team? How long were they at Roku? Reason for firing?
Agree with mentoes, I see maybe 1 person in my circle being fired per year
Anymore votes or comments will really help decide if it’s AMD or a tie. Roku is not the front runner, nor did it get completely discarded
If you need someone else to decide for you, stay where you are. Make up your mind and then act. If you do not believe in Roku, again stay where you are. I joined despite having a FAANG offer. roku's reputation on glassdoor was much worse back then. Blind did not exist. And it was the best decision of my career. My point is go with your intuitions, even if you make mistake you learn from it. Do not let others decide your fate democratically.
Roku doesn't have 401k matching so take that into account as well. Also your salary will probably remain the same for as long as you will stay at Roku. You will receive 15% of your TC i.e 56250$ as stock refresher grant at the end of every year to be vested quarterly in one year after 3 years.
Can you use your Roku offer to bargain with AMD?
