I'm a software engineer. I think my ideal space is somewhere between these two, but not sure what that would be. Some options: 1) sales engineering 2) engineering Management 3) technical product management Thoughts?
Consider DevOps as well.
Yuck (personal subjective opinion)
TPM
Solutions Architect and Technical Program Management (different than PM-Tech) would be the two others that stand out.
Having not worked with tpms, could you please share what makes this role interesting? I fear it would be very operational without much scope for deep thinking, creativity that product management and engineering can have. Thoughts?
TPMs are technical at amazon? Twitch has garbage of TPMs who have not even finished community college. I’m not exaggerating.

Technical product management and engineering management should be good options. Also if you work at a company that does SaaS products or "high tech", then they will probably only want product managers with strong engineering backgrounds
No problem with that
What is technical product management? How is it different from just product management?
