Running— the best thing in life!

I run a lot. I am stressed, I run. I am happy, I run. Anyone have similar love for running?

Sprinting is better than running. You don't see any running bodies. Source: Tai Lopez

I like running! But it hurts my body sometimes.

Cushman & Wakefield PMxN65 OP Nov 5, 2018

Me too. Especially when I was first starting. It’ll get better!

Not for my knees!

Love it. 5k every alternate day. Working on my pace before leveling up.

Cushman & Wakefield PMxN65 OP Nov 5, 2018

Ohhh that is a good run schedule

Palo Alto Networks Vlja65 Nov 6, 2018

Run slower for longer. Your 5k will level up in no time!

Google sunshine55 Nov 5, 2018

Outside or treadmill?

Cushman & Wakefield PMxN65 OP Nov 5, 2018

I do both. Right now, I mostly do treadmill because I work longer hours and it is dark when I have time to work out

Expedia Vita44 Nov 5, 2018

I do 3.5 miles a day on treadmill during week and about 5 miles street running, weather permitting, on weekends. But don't love it.....yet. Still difficult as I am building endurance....

Cushman & Wakefield PMxN65 OP Nov 5, 2018

I started with 2 miles and eventually increased by 10% every two weeks. My base mileage is 8miles at 5.0mph. It’ll get better

Explore and find something else that you love doing? I think that's the key to staying fit and not quitting down the line. Could also be the case that you'd enjoy it more if you take it easy. I've shifted my focus from running as much as possible to running until a little after I've stopped enjoying it, and enjoy it more now.

Sounds like you’ve been doing it for a while to have the runners high. Some of us never get to that level. Running is a chore for me. I’m more of a sprinter and prefer lifting weights. But it’s getting hard on my joints. Would like to get into serious running.

Cushman & Wakefield PMxN65 OP Nov 5, 2018

I run because it is one of those things that relaxes me. I lift weight 3x/week to tone and improve my running!

Qualcomm dynasty001 Nov 5, 2018

Yup. Conditioning

In college I used to run 30-40 miles a week as a way of managing my stress and fitness. I was part of a running club and did my own workouts as well. Never competed in races or anything, it was purely for fun. It’s been 3 years since I graduated, and haven’t been exercising that much since. I recently started running again, and it rekindled that passion I used to have. I literally just completed a 4 mile run and feel absolutely fantastic, despite months of being depressed about work and the job hunting process. I plan to continue running for as long as my body lets me and actually stay consistent with it.

Cushman & Wakefield PMxN65 OP Nov 5, 2018

Hey... sorry to hear about the depression... running is just a wonderful thing. Every mile earned has become my motto in life.

HPE madarchod Nov 5, 2018

It sounds stupid but I try to visualize my stress and sadness be encapsulated within my sweat. So the more I sweat, the more stress I’m physically relieving my mind of. It motivates me to push myself hard during every run.

Microsoft gfba68 Nov 5, 2018

I mean, I enjoy a good run but I wouldn't call it the best thing in life

Cushman & Wakefield PMxN65 OP Nov 5, 2018

Haha what is a gold run?

Uber GAANDUF Nov 5, 2018

HIIT >>> endurance running lifting is even better I’ve never gotten the mythical endorphins

Apple (🍎).🥧 Nov 5, 2018

I personally enjoy the pump. Arnold equated it to orgasms. I definitely feel the high after a good lift.

Google > Facebook Nov 6, 2018

Nothing compares to locking out a deadlift.

Cushman & Wakefield PMxN65 OP Nov 5, 2018

Is HIIT really good for endurance runs?

Uber GAANDUF Nov 5, 2018

oh I meant I think it’s a lot better than endurance runs

Cushman & Wakefield PMxN65 OP Nov 5, 2018

Ahhhh.
