Is meta really worth the wait?
I am single on H1 visa with i140 approved. I was laid off and now i have 20 days left out of 60 day period. I do have masters in software engineering and some experience in Salesforce. Total 10+ yrs IT experience. However past 2 years have been transitioned to Product roles. In current market i am not getting any calls. Even the ones i talked to are not sponsoring for Product role. One option i know is getting transferred to B1/B2 visa. Also trying to explore other options. I do not want to spend a lot of money on education again, is there cheaper and safer option for studies just to stay in US. Will i loose my H1 and i140 in that case? Or any other suggestions? #layoff #layoffs #h1b #cpt #product
I can sponsor marriage visa if you are a girl
Thanks DHS for the honey pot 😂
You know California allows same -sex marriage
Are you a fit gurl?
Gurl ? Or Gurilla ?
When is your I94 expiring ? That's what matters for counting unlawful presence accumulation. I was able to get away by walking away from my previous job and joining a new company after 5 months, being inside US Nothing will happen to i140
Can you explain about this in detail?
Not worth moving to product
You can also go back to India if you don’t have any ties like mortgages and stuff? Pack up, put your stuff in storage and take a break and do your job search from there. You don’t accrue any unlawful presence. You count towards the H1B cap since you’ve already spent some time on it in the US
Do people get the same interview opportunities as if they were in US?
If you apply, yes. You have to let them know your visa situation while they’re looking for a transfer
Changing to B1 visa to find job is legal. USCIS themselves confirmed it a year ago. Consult a good immigration lawyer and proceed.
Indian? Then you are lucky. Jobs are moving to India.
You may consider using Day 1 CPT. You can stay in the US as an F1 student while working under CPT. During this time you can keep seeking H1B and green card opportunities. This web might be helpful for you: https://day1cptcolleges.com/
I think there are desi consultancies that can help with this? I am not a software engineer, so not sure how it works but I have heard people do that.
I know a friend who is doing this but he pays $2200 as taxes to consultancy to maintain h1b
