Is anyone aware of interesting companies/teams using Rust and/or Python as main language? I heard only of Dropbox so far
Yelp is mostly python with sprinkles of scala and java and react frontend
Mozilla, cloudflare, fastly, and some teams at AWS. Google, fb, ms starting to use it too
You’re choosing your next career move based on a language in their stack? Not saying that doesn’t happen, but I never understood why it makes sense. Unless it’s some “once upon a time widely used but not any longer” kind of language that companies are willing to pay a fat chunk for you to work on.
Python is used all over aws, especially for networking related things. Various rust projects and an engaging rust community here, with the most significant project being firecracker. That's an EU team though.
Lyft uses mostly python
Some teams at mine
