Hi, My wife is currently on a dependent visa and does not have a work permit. Was looking to see if anyone knows about good volunteering opportunities in the bay area in and around san jose. She holds a masters degree in controls engineering (industrial controls) and knows quite a bit about controllers, programming etc. She is good at organizing stuff and makes canvas paintings well. Thanks!
Thats in the works. But it takes 3 months to get an EAD which we have applied for already. Was looking for something in the meantime.
Can she start an after school class?
That's a good idea.. She can teach mathematics or science to school students for free.. any leads you can point in order to find such opportunities?
She just needs to approach the principal about starting a club if one doesn't already exists. Volunteering in science museums is another option.
Find something that pays cash under the table till she gets a work permit
