A lot of people here serve money and not God
Honestly every time I check this fucking app, the prices seem to have slyly gone upwards whereas at the direct restaurant they are the same. This hidden price increase should be fucking illegal especially with how many excess fees they add on top of it
Stopped it long back. Not worth it. I end up paying double if I order through app. Instead I use that money to put at least 5 gallon gas and can do multiple trips to restaurants for myself instead of giving that much money everytime
I hope everyone stops using them so their business shutters. Absolute bullshit way of doing business. They are just trying to squeeze us for everything they can
I wish the same but what they’re doing is Capitalism 101 and it has on a broader scale survived for centuries. So, if it’s not DoorDash, it’ll be some other name
Merchant controls the pricing
I have refreshed the app and gotten drastically different pricing on different devices.
It might just be a cache miss then. Dd does not control the prices. They have no need. They take the merchant fee, delivery fee, and don't care about the rest. I remember there used to be some policy about merchants not setting unreasonable prices but I doubt it's there anymore.
Stopped it and planning to buy some Puts as well
They want to make money. If you don’t like the price, then don’t use DoorDash. Pick up your own food. Simple as that.
By making noise, things happen. Hidden pricing should be illegal and most people aren’t aware of what DoorDash is doing
Why should it be illegal? You’re not charged anything after you authorise payment. You’re free to not complete the order.
Stopped using. Cost of using DD is way too high. Also the fact that they pay their drivers shit and drivers are constantly begging for more tips. Feels bad to use a service where people are being so obviously exploited. Yes I’m aware there are many other things where people are exploited.
Now Seattle passed a law that mandates 5$ in DD service fee.
I don’t use DD, order on phone and go pick up. But, but, it’s the restaurant that sets the prices on DD, not them. They actually discourage it as they get blamed for the difference instead of the restaurant.
So DD scrapes off the buyer, seller, and driver? Ridiculous. They’re trying to over profit in a space that doesn’t have the margins they want
I drove for DD for a while and I ate a lot of the food
Get off your lazy ass and go to the the store
Cannot agree more! I’ve stopped using it completely for several months now.
