Any experience with Prosper marketplace for investing.
I came across this https://www.prosper.com/invest while speaking to my friend. Did anyone invest in this. If yes, what's your experience. TC 112k
Lending club use to generate insane returns five or six years ago. Now, not so much. Insane being relative obviously
I worked for a P2P site for investors of the peer lending market for 3 years. About 30% of my time was spent on our Prosper integration. Tldr: Prosper is the Barnes and Noble to LendingClub’s Amazon. Go with the bigger market. That said, the whole peer lending market is in a slump and I left not trusting the underwriting of any of these lenders. I am personally withdrawing all of my money out of peer lending.
This. LC and Prosper get paid for underwriting, rather than for the loans being repaid. Their incentives are all wrong...
