How to go about it? I did a search on here and there are 2200 posts mentioning system design. I went through a few and they talk about Alex Yu book and a few different Youtube channels. How to prep for not a senior role though? It seems like A LOT to cover. What is the bare minimum to learn/go over? #systemdesign #interview
So Alex Xu book and the book with the pig ("best" tier) would be enough? As a bare minimum? Thank you for all those resources you put together!
That book with the pig is not that easy to fully understand without knowing a lot of other concepts. I’d say start with Donne Martin’s SD primer followed by Alex Xu (both vol1 and vol2). Once that is done, try to read first 2-3 chapters of that book with a pig. If you can follow, great. If not, watch some YT videos. Sometimes changing format helps.
