Unions brought the US the 9-5 life and it is widely believed the middle class was degraded when the US went to war with unions via propaganda (see how many people coincidentally hate every communist country in the americas but have never heard of the others no matter how good or bad they are) Napoleon took over most of Europe with a union that also had an army, by getting enemy farmers to realize he was on their side. China over threw their own aristocracy and has brought a lot of wealth to their people by any means necessary, so why if China has the largest workers union in the world do they not have better wlb?
China is communist in name only. Anyway, the word communist has been misused so much in the US that it no longer means anything.
Coz ccp wants you to earn money for them and they have absolute power to make you work 996. Ccp colabs/controls the companies. It has all the cons and non the pros of capitalism for middle/lower class
China is not really socialist-communist, they are closer to national socialist (there’s another name for that one), but more importantly they are a rapidly industrializing country which depends heavily on factory human labor to drive wealth growth. No different from 1850’s America. The pressure to grow outpaces the pressure to establish worker’s rights. In 20-50 years you will see similar laws as the US when the tides change a bit
The difference is worker doesnt have the right to earn their rights. It will be much harder than the usa before since ccp control all
That’s true, but it doesn’t mean the ccp doesn’t care about them, it just means the workers won’t achieve it by protesting and calling congressmen, it will be at the will of the party
Let's just "lay flat"
I PIP those who lay flat
Government employees in China (and most government employees in general) have a great wlb. What are you even asking? China just has more government enterprises than the US or other western countries who like to privatize profits. 996 exists in Chinese tech companies, which don’t employ all that many people in the grand scheme of things.
Even the so called Soviet Union made the workers work day and night to achieve ambitious targets. Truth is no country can industrialise without slave labour.
Cheap labour->developmemt happens through out history. How it's handdled in different countries and if it's fair is another story
Pretty every society treated like shit. Western countries industrialised long back. That’s why current generation don’t know the sufferings of those workers. If there was no sufferings why would Paris commune could have taken place. It’s unavoidable for a country to develop without cheap labour.
What’s wrong with 996?
Live to work vs work to live and all that..
It conflicts with people that enjoy having a life
