A recruiter recently reached out to me for a SAP Academy for Sales AE role, I’m wondering is this an entry level role? I’m very interested in joining SAP but am wondering if this is the right entry point. I have 6 years exp as an AE in business services and HCM/SaaS.
I've done the academy: Pros: -protected class as the company has made a strong commitment to early talent hires, meaning for 3 years after the program they'll still keep tabs to make sure you're treated right -academy will lobby on your behalf for territory and fair pay -less pressure to deliver results asap vs new outside hire IMO Cons: -you can end up as an AE selling the full bag to large enterprise or you can end up selling SAP services, luck of the draw where you're placed you have limited say -you may be asked to be geo-flexible - you'll be working with folks with WAY less exp. so it may be an ego shot (though if you manage to do anything the first year your seen as rock star)
Hey man I DM’d you
This is an academy program, similar to a bootcamp. It’s not technically entry level and T grades will vary based on experience. If you have 6 years, might be better joining straight up as an AE.
What is the boot camp like now with COVID. Is it remote?
