Few years ago (Early 2000s) an SAP consultant used to make much more than a software engineer. But looking at the TC of Software Engineers working for FAANG, SAP analyst's TC are just peanuts. Not sure how many SAP analysts/PM's/Developers are on Blind, but I would like to know how much you make. Just trying to get some info so that I can negotiate well next time. I always thought 150K base was really good for Sr Level SAP analyst. My current TC is ~200K Base - 165K Bonus - 24K (15%) RSU - 25K (Refresher every year) vesting 1/3 every year. YOE = 13 years
I agree. SAP doesn’t pay well. I have same experience as yours, but salary is far less than yours. I guess we are at disadvantage for sticking around with same company for this long.
Although I dont work for SAP (company), but I am surprised that SAP doesnt pay well
Not much traction to this post. Not many SAP folks on Blind I guess? I have a friend who is being interviewed at Google for a Sr SAP BA position and it looks like the base is lower than what I get. Looks like FANG companies also doesn't pay well for SAP positions
I recently moved out of SAP. YOE was 14 in SAP and 17 total . We had higher bonus ~50k but base is less, 150k was considered high. I know of some independent consultants who make 250-300k. Overall core SAP skills are considered legacy in market (even people inside from aquired companies Success factors, ariba and Hybris had this impression) .. so no surprise it doesnt have much value in FAANG world
Thanks for your inputs. Which technology did you move to?
Microsoft
Bruh you're looking for advice in the wrong app. People here will make you feel like shite even if you're making 600k TC 😂
