SAP to eBay. Good move for a software engineer (ignore TC as a factor) ?
I'm looking for a change. eBay is offering about double my current TC than what SAP is paying. Current TC: 110k, Software Engineer II, been with sap for 2.5 years New TC breakdown: 65k signing 135 base 50k stocks over 4 years Let's forget TC for a minute. I want to know if eBay a safe environment. Both SAP and eBays CEO stepped down in the last few weeks. How's the culture at eBay different from sap ?
Ebay will be around forever, longer than the current batch of money losing startups. If I were you I would keep interviewing, to have multiple offers and to see what else is out there and to compare.
Does the signing bonus require you to stay x amount of years? Or could you receive the signing and then leave within a year?

I don't know if ebay would even exist in 10 years. SAP on the other hand has it's claw in enterprise.
