Considering an offer from Qualcomm. Just curious, did they give target bonus this year? Or less? Any insight into what it might look like in the coming years? Old TC: 195k CAD (155k Base + 40k USD/3 + APB+QPB, 40k CAD sign-on.) New TC: 250k CAD (152k base + 187k usd/3 + APB (target 10%) + 40k CAD sign-on) #qualcomm #bonus #semiconductor
Target remains according to previous year, but they announced they will apply low company-wide multiplier. For reference, it was ~120% last year. But the bonus is proratef and paid out in November, so if you join now you won't see a much of it either way.
Is this toronto? Give a homie a referral once you get there <3. MCHP has me bored af with how slow it is, no excitement.
I expect company multiplier to be around 50% this year. Was over 120% last year. Bonus is calculated as (base percent based on level) X (individual multiplier based on performance) X (company multiplier).
Bonus depends on your target (based on level), your performance, and company performance. This year company performance is down in the dumps. So not expecting much.
How many YOE do you have? That’s a solid TC for Canada
Don’t join. Mass layoff is coming. Or at least wait till it’s done
Op better stay where you're. QC is going down real bad there are huge chances of layoffs which is already announced
10% stock down, no immediate product to push it up. internally announced about large layoff and other "budgeting" plans. Not sure what role you are in but the layoffs would be across the BUs. Just try to negotiate a small hike in current company or a one time RSU grant and ride it out until dust settles and start again in 2024 . Of course be open in communication with qcom on why you will not be taking up the offer
OP - Can you provide salary breakup please ( base, RSU, total, joining bonus, years of experience, bachelors/masters)
