SDE2 Seattle Salaries?
Incoming SDE2 to Seattle Ruby . Relocating from Bangalore India after 1 year at Amazon India. Transferring under same org to a different manager. I will be asked to apply for the job opening next week and my manager is already discussing transfer terms with my Indian managers. I am expecting an offer soon and I have very less understanding of what's a great salary in US Amazon. How much base, RSUS, total compensation shall I expect? How much should I fight for? Just an FYI I have heard from my recruiter (I am also transferring internally in Amazon to the US from Canada) they leave you stuck with your current vesting schedule for stock and bonus. They will only change your base salary to be the Seattle equivalent for your comparatio. Thus you will be making Indian RSUs, Indian sign-on, with Seattle base until you get more RSUs granted to you. There will probably be no negotiation.

Yeah man I find it outrageous as well. It sucks a little less for me as a Canadian than it does for you but that is what my recruiter told me. I'm stuck in Canada working for Amazon until covid dies down then I will be relocating to seattle but stuck with my Canadian RSU and Canadian sign on bonus.
There's no negotiation bhai. Whatever numbers they give, you accept. I know someone who had 1 year as sde 2 after promo who got 140 base in Seattle during transfer. Don't remember exact TC but I would expect around 180-190k. What's your TC / base in India?
Indian salary doesn't matter when relocating to US salary. Does it?
Base is usually a multiplier.
