SEA to NYC comp?

Looking at a few roles in NYC (currently in Seattle) and was wondering how much I should account for cost of living increase. Apparently NYC costs 57% more, but considering my total comp now with COL, income tax, and role change bump, I’m wondering if I will be able to get that high of a TC. Thanks for your input and advice!

There’s no way practically speaking NYC actually costs 57% more. Maybe if you weigh buying property heavily into CoL. But for day to day no way, especially if you have a car in Seattle now.

Difference is basically: ny state tax + nyc city tax + rent difference - car ownership cost
