Just want to share since practically all complaints I read on Blind is about how terrible it is to be on an H1B visa. When you resign/get laid off on Singapore's Employment Pass, you only get to stay in the country for 30 days. This practically only allows you to wrap up and settle stuff. Unlike H1B that gives you 60 days which *at least* gives you a fighting chance to do the whole study->apply->interview->negotiate dance. TC: 235k sgd YOE: 9 #singapore #workvisa #h1b
In the same boat. But the weather and safety are awesome for SG.
Sg is low tax, your TC is excellent. Anyway you can get on the PEP
The PEP salary requirement will be increased to S$22.5k / month (up from S$12k / month) from Sept ‘23
Low tax more than cancels out the exorbitantly expensive cost of living (no.1 in the cost of living along side NYC for 2022)
PEP needs 30K sgd per month no?
How easy is it get EP for a tech job?
Easy if you have good education
Nice TC, what is your job? Are you an SWE?
Yes. I already work at Meta.
op: is Meta your current company? and you're afraid of being laid off at Meta.
Love SG. Nice TC OP
I’m sure at Amazon as a L5+ you can get more?
