“Everybody” was talking about this yesterday and it makes me ask why this is even news, in a philosophical sense of asking what’s important. This became mainstream news because it was right place, right time: Trump trial surrounded by media. Except it was outside of the trial. In a protest area. And it wasn’t even a Trump protest. It was to draw attention to other conspiracies. Now I know this guy’s name and watched the media plaster his manifesto everywhere. And for what? What did I learn? Nothing. It makes me consider all of the whackjobs who lit themselves on fire through the years in NYC, whose names and delusions I don’t know. Presumably, they were 3rd page news and never mentioned again. What’s really different about this one is: Every national news station got to air heartwrenching moments of their reporters crying, explaining the smell of burning flesh, the pain in the person’s face, and the sadness of the moment. Why yes, it is incredibly important news only because the TV man was personally affected by it.
Any word why he did that?
