There is at least one post about every company explaining how bad and horrible culture they have. Be it Meta, Google , Amazon, msft, Apple, Databricks, Uber, TikTok . Why ?
They’re blanket statements. The culture/employee experience will vary in different teams or orgs.
Those are all large companies, and at every large company there will be unhappy people. Unhappy people are louder then happy people.
Key is that each company has bad culture in different way
You could work at the best company, and still land on a shit team.
Nope. Not every company. My company is cool (can't say which one would dox me since Roblox and then this company would easily identify me). Other than my company, two companies I only hear good things about is ServiceNow and Pure Storage. I know there are others, but I can't remember their names. But even in the companies you mentioned, places like Google, Microsoft, Apple have great groups with good culture.
Albertsons is the outlier. Great culture for 84 straight years and counting.
People like complaining. As long as you're making >= 60K, you're doing fine in life
Good culture AND good pay was a ZIRP phenomenon. Now big payers want a return on their big investment so you gotta choose, just like every other industry. Magical times of getting paid 400k to work a chill job and dink around with cool tech was the aberration, not now.
Some companies are 90% shit and 10% good, most companies are 50% shit 50% good, then a small amount is 70% good 30% shit is the way i like to see it.
