Our company fully pays for eCornell professional certificates, so all that’s really required from me is the weekly time commitment (and mental horsepower I suppose). Obviously it’s not a prestigious name (an online certification subsidiary of Cornell), but has anyone found reasonable educational value from their programs? Strictly speaking, most programmes outside of undergrad or certain grad are not prestigious at Ivy Leagues. So who cares, just do it if it’s free
Get a degree instead in anything. Nobody cares about a certificate. You can learn without a certificate too.
I’ll eventually get a graduate degree, I’m working on getting more professional experience first. I’m just looking for learning opps in the meantime, especially when of no cost to me.
Took one of the courses. And cannot say I learnt anything new. I wasn’t looking for a certificate but actually hoping to learn something. Not impressed.
Yeah, good call. You can learn as much watching YouTube videos. It’s really just a CV/LinkedIn flex.
If you are a woman, go join “Chief”, pay 9k for membership, charge your company and then flex on Linkedin. Say how lucky your are and all that jazz. Wait, you also need to be an executive. Then you play hello hi with other fellow females. You can also pay ~3k, and join one of the Forbes Councils and flex(they are more gender neutral)
Any free training from an Ivy League school is worth the time, IMO.
