I applied for a chase credit card and they want me to fax/mail(not email) them a copy of SSN along with id proof. Isn’t it too risky to do that?
Yea this isn’t normal...most places have started using the internet for these sorts of forms because it isn’t 2005 anymore
That’s weird.. call the customer care and confirm the fax number.. if so fax it if you need the card ... their AI model has tagged you for fraud.. I mean it’s a clear false positive.. you can also give them feedback saying you are not false positive and ask them to update their AI model that tagged you..

That's common. If you are concerned just go to Chase bank and give your SSN doc, they will upload it to your profile instead of mail or fax and it's a faster process as well.
Immediately, Put a freeze on your card for next couple of days..just to make sure no fraud happens on your card..
