Why I Find Free Palestine Inspiring
Interviewed for SWE & being offered PE. I’ve not heard of this role but recruiter said it’s very similar with extra emphasis on communication with other job families. # How’s the career track for PE? Is there a difference in pay? Will there be enough coding? Current TC 180k 🥜 Yoe 5yrs #engineering #software
It's usually not much coding, but I think it's a less crowded space and easier to make a bigger impact.

Could you please explain further
Explain!
Career track is similar: you go to senior/staff or management. It's true that I fewer people are in the field so it's easier to make an impact and get promoted. Not sure about Snap, but for Meta and Twitter, base is the same as SWE and equity is 70-80% but can negotiate to be even higher than same yeo's SWE from my experience. I think coding part is relatively flexible - depending on how much you want. But if you're very into coding and not into talking to others or biz/PM areas at all, I would suggest sticking to SWE.
Why did they offer you this role instead of SWE? What level would it be and TC?
It usually happens when a person has great communication skills in addition to technical proficiency
