Hi all, does anyone have recommendations or knowledge of roles that directly generate revenue for companies, and for which ~5 YOE as a SWE at FAANG might come in handy? The tl;dr is that I'm willing to work *really* hard for the next 5 years or so, before I start thinking about having a family and WLB becomes more relevant. Joining a start-up is an option but the outcome is binary, usually they either make it big or bust, and even if they do well it's hard to tell the payoff for a while. I know a lot of people in commission jobs with a TC far higher than mine (tech sales, commercial real estate etc), and wanted to explore that field and see what type of roles are out there.
