As mentioned above, got an initial interview for a SWE role at PlayStation tomorrow. Just wanted to see if anyone has interviewed with them before. Thanks!
I just finished the on-site loop with them. First interview was recruiter screen where they went over my resume/ some behavioral questions and discussing technologies I’ve used in the past. As far as recruiter screens to it was on the longer/more intense side since they were asking behavioral questions. Then I had my technical phone screen with hiring manager which probably depends on what team you are going for. For me it was LC easy/med and then some discussion about hashing in Python. Then I had the usual 4 rounds of on-site interviews, 2 coding rounds - LC medium and some spark sql mixed in (again depends on team) , one behavioral with a TPM and then a project deep dive / architectural interview. Different from SD in that you explain a project or two you worked on from a SD perspective and the interviewer will ask you to dive deeper/ have you justify your decisions on and it such.
Hey! I also finished onsites last week. Wondering if you’ve heard back at all from them.
Yes. I don’t know what location you have but for me (SF) the recruiter told me that I have positive feedback but they’re having some kind of offsite - people flying in from Japan so there’ll be a slight delay in setting up time with HM/VP or whatever it is for next steps to continue. This was yesterday.
How did the interview go? How many rounds? Any LC?
Why change from Google to PS? Isn't that a downgrade?
After your rounds did you get an offer that pays 30% under market?
Update: just a call with the Hiring Manager (who was a Principal Engineer) and we talked about why I wanted to join and about my current role. Got the final round in a week or so. 4 interviews, an hour each. It's going to be a mix of technical and behavioral questions.

They discuss first your resume, then little about data structures, then may be for me they had live spring boot dev before that I got rejected 😆
