Hi everyone, Does anyone know how is the salary of Siemens in Germany? Thanks 85K €, 5.5 yoe, loc: Germany
I would say pretty good for Germany
How much is tax?
33% if you are married, otherwise 42%. These are rough estimates
What if you are married and both are working. Not so sure it would make any difference as compared to a single.
Simply check the ig Metall Tarife. They are set for your yoe and degree. There are usually added benefits and bonus on top.
There are also AT jobs, who gets AT? Only team leads?
Management
Is your current TC in USD or Euros?
Euros
Would you say this is a good TC in Germany for software engineers with 5 yoe? How much do new grads usually get?
I am a new grad with 4.5 yoe including time as a trainee, have TC of 60k atm. Siemens do not pay competitive salaries btw, only according to IGM tables. Siemens are extremely reluctant with anything above that and many companies pay according to it, so no reason to stay at Siemens really. For better comp, you consistently have to threaten to quit.
If many companies do it, then 60k€ is a good TC for a software engineer in Germany with 4 yoe?
I mean, you can live pretty well with it, but it’s not competitive. I regularly see people leave for better offers and we are already not enough people to fully deliver, so… I think Siemens is not really doing well in the current employee market environment. Like, the only reason I am staying is for them to pay me my Masters degree, afterwards I will be gone, too. With their approach to comp, you will rarely ever feel appreciated.
