Salary Negotiation
I recently got an offer letter from NVIDIA, and it's in Santa Clara. The role is firmware engineer. I have in total of 6 years of experience working as a senior firmware engineer from a big MNC and have 2 master's degrees. This is how much they are offering, please let me know your opinion on this compensation, and how much can I negotiate with them? Base 160,000 Stocks 120,000 Bonus 20,000
After an inevitable stock correction your RSUs will be worth close to $84k. Based on a correction of ~30%. Strictly my opinion tho
Is stock for 1 year?
The book “Negotiating Your Salary: How To Make $1,000 a Minute” will completely reframes the whole negotiation process. Reading it will absolutely lead to higher TC.
Are the stocks 120k per year? Or that’s your total grant
a good offer if that stock is per year. if for 4 years, that is low for your yoe just judge based on the grant value. you dont know if the stock will be higher or lower 4 years from now.
For HW type of positions their offers are low.
