Salary Range in Europe

Hi MongoDB people, I'm meeting a MongoDB recruiter soon for the "Software Engineer, Query" position in Europe (I'm based in Germany). On levels.fyi I cannot find info on European salary ranges. Any idea what sort of salary range I can ask for? TC: 140 EUR YoE: 11 (6.5 PhD, 5.5 industry)

As a European, can confirm. Though, you should be able to get way more with your experience... I'm a bit above 140k TC with basically just 5yoe and no Masters/PhD...

But I'm not sure if iambored is referring to my TC being 🥜 or what MongoDB offers is

150 for mid, 200+ for senior

Thanks. Just to make sure, this is EU (Germany) or UK?

MongoDB gKwv43 Jun 17, 2023

Germany, although it's tiered comp structure. If you're from some small village in Germany - it'll be adjusted downwards. Munich/Berlin are baseline. More or less it's basically google-like comp in Germany.

70k for senior, 85k for principal, anything above this is great luck

MongoDB gKwv43 Jun 17, 2023

LoL no 70 is how much you get straight out of university in some mediocre local company. Seniors in such companies get a bit over 100. High tear is long ago double that easily.

Wayfair wayguy OP Jun 17, 2023

That can't be right. This is a lot lower than the other answers. My old research center is paying 70K to software engineers!!!

150 to 200 depending on your expertise in the DB field

MongoDB gKwv43 Jun 20, 2023

Does snowflake hire for 200+ in Germany also?

Snowflake snowflaked Jun 20, 2023

For an IC3 Query engineer I think it's possible, yes. I have no data points to back it up, though.

Did you end up meeting the recruiter/interviewing?
