Salary bands for engineering at McKinsey

Does anyone know what the expected salary bands are for engineering/SWE at McKinsey? I know the consulting side is pretty standard for like analysts, associates, and other positions. I’d assume it was similar for the software side. Goal is to get promoted to senior developer this year. Just hoping to know what I can expect for bonuses and salary as I continue. Any help would be greatly appreciated. #mckinsey TC: $125k YOE: 2 4 months at McKinsey

125 at McK? That feels pretty underpaid. YEO?

OP, you might wanna add the profit sharing to the TC as well

Yellow band engineer (senior/specialist) should be around $180k base

What about staff engineer? (Green) what is the base there in US?

This is an estimation but it starts around $210k-$220k base, but I've heard of it being higher based on path/CSP/FSP/practice

Tech roles are pretty standard too (path-based). If you joined 4 months ago, you also got a one-time bonus, so your total comp (with profit sharing) is probably close to $150-$160K. Why did you accept if not happy with the comp?

A lot to unpack here. I got a 12K signing bonus and an 8k relocation bonus. My target EOY bonus is 6300. As far as accepting the job, I was at a really bad company, and really wanted to get out so I was looking to move quickly. Also this was right during the beginning of hiring freezes. I passed google interviews but my position was cut the week I was expecting an offer. And all other interviews were canceled. I didn’t want to be looking during a hiring freeze. Over all I’m very happy with the move. McKinsey is a great company and treats employees amazing. So I’m happy I’m here, but my wife and I are expecting and I can see our expenses going up so naturally I’m hoping for a raise to offset or increase in expenses.
