In your experience and opinion, what does a good TC look like for a Data scientist with 5/10/15 years of experience? Feel free to lay it out by roles. Assume decent educational background and an average IQ guy. YOE 7 TC 54 LPA #datascience #machinelearning #indiasalary

Mine is 58 LPA for 6YOE. Though it appears that the market standard is higher these days for decent folks.

The digital arm of a Kota based JEE institute is offering 90+ (75 Fixed+15 Variable+ ESOPs). My friends at Atlassian are also getting 90+ in base+RSUs (though they are SDEs). I'd say the good 6YOE folks can easily target 75+ even in the current market.
At 9.5 YOE my TC is 95 LPA-1 Cr (Fluctuates because of stocks). I am considering a switch and post that I hope to make 1.3-1.5 Cr. With my YOE I am looking at Senior role. Staff looks a bit far fetched right now but aftr 12+ YOE I will probably try for staff. In that scenario I hope to make 1.5 Cr-2 Cr.
Are you an Applied scientist/MLE?

Nice thread, I'm 5 YOE, 50-56 LPA, by 6-6.5 YOE, I'd expect a promotion, ~ 62-68 LPA.
@OP can you give the breakup of your CTC. What is based, AB, and shares?
What I’ve mentioned is all fixed. We don’t have any stocks and no certain bonus payouts at my level.

If you area seasoned applied science manager(history of managing teams putting Deep learning models into prod) then you can command anything, A data science manager with experience of managing teams like Churn model etc or predictive analytics should expect okayish tc.
