Hi there! First time poster and completely new to considering any job even adjacent to financial sector. I’m going into a second interview for an associate level position within the JPMorgan Private Bank. It is part of a team that provides clients with support on administering their philanthropy. Given that it’s such a niche role and is not revenue generating, I wonder if anyone has insight on an expected salary range I can provide when it comes up. Institution: JPMorgan Private Bank Level: Associate Location: New York Candidate: 7 YOE in nonprofits Current TC: $80K (nonprofit life) #jpmc #jpmorgan #interview #salarynegotiation

Is it 601 or 602? I’m in a different LOB but pay my 602s around 120 to 150 base (different experience levels, etc)
Are you able to identify this based on a job posting?
Do not accept lower than $100k base with an expected 15% bonus. Since you’re not in a sales role, they are stingy, but don’t let them get away with pitching you in the $90s which they might try to do.
Assuming it’s Sr associate the range can be 110 to 140k but JPMC works on total comp philosophy. You should also check for IC (incentive / bonus) is suggested.
I just got hired at JP Morgan & Chase four months ago Jersey city,NJ (10 minutes from New York). They said the range was 100k -125k, I’d tell them 140k. If they say it’s too high I’d go for the 115k-125k option.
You can search on Levels.fyi.com They have pretty accurate numbers
I secured associate SWE role in Chicago with 120k TC. Don’t go lower than that. New York is significantly more expensive.
