Salary expectation for Principal Database Engineer @ Oracle Cloud
I am considering a position as principal database engineer IC4 at Oracle cloud Seattle. How much can I expect to be offered?
Just a data point. A colleague of mine joined Oracle cloud at 1 level below Principal. This was 1 year ago. His TC was close to 300K. He had 0 cloud exp when he joined.
Was he/she into database engineering or software developer?
Software developer. He was working in Juniper Networks, so his exp was mainly in networking. Point I trying to make is his TC was so high even though Oracle knew that his skill sets are not a match. He was pretty smart though. This was in Bay area.
Hmm. Makes sense. I was wondering if there is a different range for database engineers when compared to software developers at the same level.
Any idea of TC for this role ?
