Sorry I'm from Jersey City which is why I don't make the a distinction between the two. South Jersey and Central is obviously much different than Nyc

It depends. Are we talking FANG or random companies/startups. More reasonable startups and just normal tech companies that wouldn’t be on blind that the majority of the industry works in -> NJ: 60-70k NY: 70-85k. For new grad

Bloomberg's SWE new grad NYC offer is normally $135k base plus $15k annual bonus, but I've heard of someone with a Google offer receiving $142k base and $18k bonus from Bloomberg, with $120k base + $18k annual bonus + $25k annual RSU from Google. Amazon pay would be lower.
