Salary negotiation for Samsung India
I received positive feedback from Samsung, and HR is asking about my expectation regarding compensation. Qualcomm TC: Base: 35LPA RSU(unvested): 50k USD(20k vesting scheduled for this nov) Bonus: 15% Yoe: 7 (master + IIT graduate) HR mentioned they are considering me for the senior chief engineer position. AFAIK, there is no rsu in Samsung, you will get a good base + cash bonus target which is almost fixed. However, unless you are bent on joining Samsung you should look for other offers and keep Samsung as last priority. Shit policies and absolutely no freedom or openness like in QC in that place.

8 hours mandatory in time , have to cover phone cameras with stickers , not remote friendly , poor compensation, poor hikes , Koreans have all the power and they don’t trust anyone. Only good thing is you don’t have to do anything there as they won’t fire you even if you kill someone .
It's wrong . Only 6 hrs are mandatory. Hikes in samsung are much higher than any other companies since it does not have stock benefit. Compensation is too good in samsung. Also the policies have improved alot in past 2 years
You have regular coding tests that u need to clear

If you don't know the team you are joining then you may end up in very niche team with no growth and less opportunities outside samsung. PS: samsung has many such teams.

Droped it. They couldn't match my rsu.
