Salary negotiations - visa sponsorship
Does not requiring visa sponsorship help in negotiations for base salary or total compensation? My understanding is that companies spend 10k-20k on H1B and Green Card process. Has anyone negotiated higher salary because you didnโt need visa sponsorship? Any hiring managers here that considered visa sponsorship cost in compensation package? YOE = 12 TC = 180k

You not requiring visa sponsorship helps as a candidate during shortlisting. But once successful in interviews then it doesnโt matter.
That is unrelated. Your negotiation power depends on how big/small loss if the offer blows up.
