A list of ethnic slurs on Indians that should be banned on Blind
Hi, I’m considering taking a role in enterprise sales at Salesforce. I’ve been given a verbal offer for Account Director. OTE package is ~$360k. The recruiter said they do not issue RSUs at the account director level. Is this standard practice at Salesforce or is just an opening negotiation tactic by the recruiter? He seemed pretty firm about it but I’ve only had one call re the offer. Appreciate any thoughts as official offer will come early next week. Thx
Standard. No stock for sales
Your patch matters more than anything. People still can put up good numbers and make 7 figures here with the right accounts.
Same with Oracle. You could prob get $150-$200K worth of stock at Microsoft or Amazon
I work in strat - offer is pretty fair, no RSUs unless you get a promo to RVP
My understanding is the AE/AD side do not get RSU until RVP level. That 360k is probably 40/60 split or 50/50 split base + commission, is that correct OP?
Yeah is account director RVP or is it straight up account executive individual contributor? I’m in sales support side and we get RSU’s but I’ve heard sales doesn’t. If you want stock Google cloud is hiring like mad and it should be better overall TC. Sales at Salesforce is hugely patch dependent in the bigger business units.
What is the location
Most of us are on the dev side, so we don't have insights to Account Directors. But how did they get up to 360k without having RSUs included?
I assume it’s base salary plus estimated commission if I it target. And knowing the territory, hitting target may be tough! I guess I need to see how they break it down. I was just surprised to learn no RSUs but maybe these are reserved for developers/engineers?
I spoke to a Salesforce recruiter last year about an AE role and they said no RSUs at sign on which really surprised me.
