Did not know Security engineers are underpaid compared to SWE, new grad MTS offer for swe is 200k+ TC
Damn can you provide break down please. FYI this is for Indy office so 30% less than SF
New grad MTS offer (masters + 2YOE) for SF is $150k base, 10% bonus, $25k signon bonus, $110k RSU. These numbers are from folks who joined this year, salesforce improves the numbers every year. <2 YOE before masters or bachelors only folks get AMTS and less salary overall.
Base is weirdly high but no RSUs is weird. Most of the SMTS engineers with more experience than you, that I know in indy have a similar base, but they also have RSUs, as does everyone I work with (AMTS and MTS included)
Are these security folks as well? Not sure if this is a security thing which is so weird

Comparing to MTS comp in west coast the base is good for Indy. Bonus is base on level so as soon as you get to SMTS you’ll be at 15%. No RSU at all is really weird. I’m in Tech and Product but everyone has RSU even if the amount is smaller than your sign on. Feels like an okay offer, you may need to view the sign-on as your RSU and work with your manager to get promoted and fight for refresher.
Does this also apply to folks in security? They are making it seem like it’s a security org thing
I’m not in security org so can’t say for sure but from other threads it does seem like a normal thing for security org. If that’s not something you can negotiate I’d say make sure to raise this repeated with your manager after you join, make sure she fights for you to get RSU refresher, after you get SMTS promotion.
MTS in Security Indy and got no sign on but 50k RSU, 10% Bonus, 105k base. No masters

Why would you accept that? That’s extremely low for a security role.
It’s in Indianapolis.... so it’s really not low at all.

90k for which office. Also I feel the 110k RSU is a game changer. Any sign on?
They get $10k-25k signon. RSUs don’t depend on location within US afaik as my friends in WA/CA got the same
