What role/team/product?
Not a Salesforce employee but have to work with marketing cloud in my current job. From a user perspective it's pretty crap but it's easy to sell to MBAs because they're already invested in the main Salesforce platform.
Why is it crap ?
It doesn't do what it's supposed to do :) no one has cracked WYSWIG bulletproof builders including Salesforce. It's the most powerful email automation platform but it requires an absurd amount of development to really flex and be robust.
this is highly dependent on a Vertical and it’s respective AVP. Retail & Consumer Goods for example are still strategic while Financial Services and Healthcare turned super transactional and “make your month” and constant tension with “core”. Overall the MC leadership is scrappy and isn’t scaling its resources with its growth metrics, so don’t expect the support you’d get it you were core AE.
