Does the name Salesforce add any value to your resume if your long-term goal is to get into FANG? Interested Domain: Security Engineering Orgs
Can you code? That adds value
Is the bar for coding a little bit lower for security engineers? Love coding but not that good at optimization and stuff
Also are you a security engineer?
Ha ha. Well VP is not E2. But yes their Director is probably E5-E6
You'll always have value to me 😊
In sales or marketing, it’s a huge value add. In engineering, not so much
Ignore the idiots OP. FANG hires from no name companies and bootcamps as well. Salesforce is still magnitudes higher than those and it all depends on your interview performance.
It depends what you did at Salesforce and how you're able to translate that to what FAANG companies value, like strong XFN collaboration, leading complex projects, resolving ambiguity, etc. EDIT: I have SFDC on the resume
Cool! Mostly interested in Security domain? Would u elaborate if you have any idea?
No, I'm not in the security domain. In a more specialized domain like security, experience is even more valuable. As long as you can talk about your experience and answer interview questions with things you've actually done, you'd have a good shot anywhere.
