Simple question... how is TC structured for SE’s at Salesforce. Specifically senior and lead levels, if there’s a difference. Base Commission Bonus Equity (if any) I’ve heard base/commission is 70/30 split. Is that accurate? If so does that mean that hitting your quota earns you a commission equal to 30% of your base? Or would your commission represent 30% of your TC? Thanks!

I’m not sure how the TC is at Salesforce, but SE’s have a full OTE. Meaning if you’re OTE is 200k, 70% is bass and 30% is commission, ties to a rep or a couple of reps. If you exceed quota, you start accelerators.
Makes sense. The part that seems to vary by company is whether your OTE is 70/30 base/commission, or whether the 30% is ‘on top of base’ Example with the 200k you suggested. Scenario 1 : 70/30 OTE 200k = 140k base , 60k OTE commission. Scenario 2 : commission is 30% ‘on top’ or ‘of base’. So then 140k base = OTE commission of 140*.3 = 42k for a TC of 182k. Obviously scenario 1 is better TC. I’ve heard conflicting stories on which one Salesforce offers.
I have never seen scenario 2 for a SE. I have seen splits of 70/30 to 80/20. And in some cases that 20 - 30 is either commission based on quote or quarterly targets set by your manager.
