I received and signed an offer at SF last week. Found out today the news of the hiring freeze online. Could SF rescind the offer or am I good? #jobs
I read the news article where they quote this internal memo saying all existing offers will still be honored. Its just people who were still waiting on an offer who are f'ed
You are good. All new recruiting activities are paused.
How about the folks whove done the onsite already?
I think those who did onsite are good too. Not 100% certain though
Recruiter from Salesforce said they wanted to interview (chat) for full stack positions which isn't open yet and is months off. Very strange that Why bother interviewing now. Should just wait until position is open
A lot of places have been doing that in 2023. Interview first to have a pipeline then you might or might not have a job even if you passed. Itâs easier for the companies to have candidates ready to start at all times
Wasnât this news refuted by salesforce yesterday ?
We donât call it layoff. We call it disruptive Human Resources changes. We donât call it a freeze, itâs strategic hiring lol. Truth is we probably hired too quickly and realized we need to step on the brakes.
You are good, my friend. I just hired someone today since they were in the offer stage last week.
Will salesforce do layoff this season? Meta is doing small one.
Doesnât feel like it but we wonât know until q4 ends. Earnings were way worse in 2023
Do I still need to prepare for my interview next week?
Apparently this is exaggerated fake news. No hiring freeze, continuing with strategic hiring. I just got hired and starting next week. Can someone at SFDC confirm if there is a hiring freeze? https://www.businessinsider.com/salesforce-refutes-reports-that-its-imposing-a-hiring-freeze-2024-1?amp
Unfortunately I got update from the recruiter, the hiring freeze is true đ
You might be the lucky one to sneak in before layoff
Outside of Salesforce you may wait until you actually start to put in your two weeks notice. Other companies have rescinded offers after signings so look out for yourself as a profit seeking entity first exactly as a company will look out for itself as a profit seeking entity first
Unlikely they will rescind an extended offer.
