Just received an offer at SFDC. Lead Solution Engineer 140/60 (base/commission) 40k RSU TC: 185k 5 yr exp Seems like a pretty straightforward offer but wanted to get some feedback.
Seems about right for YOE. What area of the country?
Seems pretty standard to me for a Lead position. I’d take it if no other offers. At the 4 year cliff, you can boomerang back as a principal and make good $$.

What’s commission?
Solution Engineer is a technical sales role. So the TC above is 200 OTE (on target earnings). They have a quota to get that additional 60k. Once they reach that quote, they can make more through accelerators. For example, if he helps close 150k deal, the accelerator makes it worth 300k.
