Can people from #salesforce share details about presence in Seattle area? Where are the offices(Bellevue/Seattle etc) and is it any specific teams or parts of the org? Interested as I’m thinking of applying to Salesforce for SDE role and from what I understand they don’t support full remote. Interested in salesforce primarily for WLB.
Bellevue office has engineers. Not sure if there’s other offices in Seattle as well. We are “hybrid”-ish, it depends on your team. My team is primarily distributed and I am full remote but the people near the offices go in a few days a week.
I see, thanks for replying. How did you get full remote btw? Is it easy to get?
Idk, I got hired before the big RTO push this year and I’m not geographically near an office at all. We have several full remote folks on our team, so it’s not uncommon. If you live in commuting distance of the office you’d probably be asked to go in though
Can Salesforce employees go in tableau Seattle office instead of Bellevue to fill the 3 day hybrid quota ?
Yup
Isn't the expectation to be 10 days in office in a quarter?
One office in Bellevue, one in Fremont. Fremont one is bigger and more social. Teams from multiple orgs/groups at both. They use neighborhood seating, no assigned desks. Both are close to options for lunch, happy hours, and all that. Some teams are specific about which office they want you to go to, some are not. Most tend to be flexible. To be considered for fully remote you have to live over an hour away from an office AND needs approval from management. I’ve been happy with the offices and the spaces/amenities at each.
Is parking free/available at the offices? How are shuttles if you know.
They will not be able to match the pay though. Expect 280k for E4 equivalent
I did see on levels it’s like 250k but based on recent blind threads seems like SMTS can go up to 300k recurring TC. Of course no refresher also makes it worse.
Difficult to reach 300k for Seattle location. Seeing the range in mid to high 200's but none 300 or above
Why not G for wlb?
G was definitely my first choice before but past experiences of slow interview process, down leveling and getting stuck in team match makes this seem like less of a viable option. G pushing for RTO when it was supposed to be one of the more employee friendly options kinda annoys me too. Never the less, I’ll still interview there in future and decide based on whatever offers I get. :)
