I am not liking salesforce at all. It's been few months now and at the start it's all flashy with the iphone, MacBook and wfh reimbursement but Salesforce culture is shit. It is the most hypocrite culture I have ever seen. I am working in one of the bangalore team and they are running a circus. Work is absolute crap with no new work. Almost whole team is replaced new and no one has any idea what to do. People who knows shares half baked knowledge. I have started hating few of my team members now. They are inconsiderate, rude and a lot in to blame game. My manager who is also new is no good at all. It's affecting my mental health alot. I don't know what to do. Please help me out. Also getting no time for LC as they constantly keep you occupied with unnecessary stuff. Please join this company at your own risk!!! On top of that my tc sucks. ~45 6 yrs smts peanuts rsus. I can bet, your experience is team specific. 1. Try OOM, you are unlikely to be in this team. 2. Your manager seems to have no control at the moment, give him/her sometime and share your feedback. 3. Culture of any company is not pervasive. Understand that. I have been inside a more popular employee centric org, but many teams are crap in India. Never join a company based on what they publish, your team matters the most. What you can do - 1. OOM is easiest in SF. My team has nearly 10% population and most of them are happy. 2. If you want to leave, the don't waste time in shitty work. Do minimal work. Focus on leetcode and design and plan an exit.
How early can you OOM? I am just 3 months into system. They will also ask you lc right?
I know a few people who OOM with in first 6 months. Not sure about LC, design is explored.
I agree with the sentiment. There are some old dusty managers(VPs) actually that are ruining the place. The circus is more or less the same in Hyderabad teams too but there are some pockets in both places where the work is good. There’s a new security team in B’lore office — you talking about that one? feeling same at Microsoft. Keep doing the crap work. Most of the time not sure how to do the crap and end up spending nights. At the end, even if crap is done, there is zero learnig and no feeling of any acheivement. If the crap is not done, it is a big concern.
