Salesforce vs Paypal
YOE - 7+ Current CTC: 31L INR(26 fixed) Salesforce security org SMTS Base - 37.8L INR, bonus - 5.8L INR, RSUs- 65k dollars over 4 years Paypal Credit Risk(Collection) SDE-3 Base - 38L INR, bonus - 3.8L INR, RSUs - 50k dollars over 3 years, JB -6L INR Have read bad things about Salesforce security org on blind therefore didn't do any negotiation. Already negotiated with Paypal and this is the best they can offer. Got information for paypal that work is average. What is better? If you have any information for the above teams please help to share in comments as well. Update: Salesforce offered 42(base) + 6.3(bonus) + 80k dollars(over 4 years) + 7 JB TC 69.7 lpa INR
Paypal TC is very high for the pay range, apparently. But I can assure you it's not high enough for SMTS, so more upside there in the future. Rest of the factors, I think Salesforce is the better choice.
But what I have read about security org is not good. I am not sure if I should take chances or not for more TC.
What exactly did you read that was not good about security org? And don't copy paste comments saying the exact same stuff "Avoid security org". Come back with hard facts. I know one probable downside, some teams are ops heavy (not bad wlb, but more ops than dev work). But that's just the nature of work, especially when you are working with distributed systems. I am assuming you are joining in a software engineering role and not as a DevOps/security engineer.
Go with PayPal. PayPal gives refreshers every year. I don't think SF gives refreshers at all.

If you want to join salesforce, use paypal offer to negotiate with salesforce. There is still room for negotiation.
OP, which one you have joined? If SF how is the team and work?
Seems like a very high TC as far as PayPal is considered, base and RSU for SE3
