Friend of mine has been offered senior sdet with Samsung Bellevue - contract to hire position. 1. How’s the work and culture at Samsung Bellevue? 2.how often do they convert contract position to full time? 3.what’s the pay and benefits for full time sdet if offered? He has one more full time offer but the role and pay is better at Samsung.
Samsung Bellevue is one if the shittiest place you can work in.

If you never had office politics experience before, you'll definitely build a very strong foundation at Samsung Bellevue or else you're KO

Since people still can’t wrap their minds around the fact the Gaza death toll hasn’t changed
I don't know about their Bellevue offices, but my current boss used to work at Samsung, and he said it was an absolute horrorshow Apparently it's a very old-school managerial system where they just kinda throw bodies at problems until they get solved, walk in with weird top-down executive demands, and given that a lot of their stuff is still tied to hardware, WLB can be rough at times
So basically like apple
Lolol he also worked for Apple And yeah it was a similar pitch (the "throwing bodies at a problem until it fixes itself" thing seemed Samsung specific though -- seemingly attributed to like an east-west cultural divide. Apparently @ Apple whole departments used to get fired for messing things up, so they just hustled all the time. Would love to know if that's still the case with a new CEO)
