Samsung India attendance policy
I have heard Samsung has mandatory 9 hours to be clocked in office. Is it true? Do you really need to be in office for 9 hours? #tech #samsung
I will talk about Samsung Bangalore, India office SRIB that is Samsung R&D Bangalore earlier had 9hrs mandatory working hrs....but post COVID it's not followed any more I guess SSIR Samsung Semiconductors Institute of Research has 6hrs mandatory working hrs. I was an ex SRIB and trust me this rule was the best rule because after 9hrs prior leaving ofc u need to leave ur laptop at ur desk...so after coming home there is no one to disturb you and no ofc calls.... Basically after ofc hrs it's ur complete personal time Nowadays companies provide flexi working hrs + oncalls.....which I think is a scam as people have to work after ofc hours.....and engineers do get page in midnight which is worst
At ssir too they are giving another laptop for working at home. So from both sides you are getting banged 😁
Surprised to see this happening at Samsung. I thought such attendance rules are only at service based companies.

Yes 6 hrs mandatory between swipe in and out. Else you have to put a half day leave request.

No it's the rule. 6 hrs min you have to log in at the office.
