Hi all! Currently at AWS, recently got an offer with Samsung, both the pay is higher and it is moving to manager comparing to IC (leading teams informally). The offer is for base 213K, sign on of 43 (for 2 years totaling 86) and theres a 25% yearly bonus which sums up for 311K. I'd like to get more since in amazon managers gets more and considering my skills and the work they want me to perform. Where can I improve? Also seems weird there's no retention at all? With Samsung there is no atock so you can only negotiate on base. That's a crazily good offer for New Jersey.

Amazon - people are trying to figure out if this is in SEA or SRA, and preferably what team. The former division is electronics while the latter is research, and the former is also geared more towards consumer products. Regardless your band is likely a CL3 - 2 (Snr Manager with direct reports) and that offer has not been seen anywhere before to my knowledge, even in Mountain View.
