Ex-Amazon right now. SDE-2. TC: Base ₹43 LPA + RSUs. YOE: 4.3 years - 1st job. Expecting offers from 1. ServiceNow Hyderabad: Role: Sr. Software Engineer Base: 32-34 LPA Stocks: Not revealed yet, but expecting TC to reach 40-43 LPA 2. Samsung R&D Bangalore: Role: Chief Engineer Stocks: None TC: Upto 65LPA for Sr. Chief Engineer (I only have limited inputs from recruiter) Can someone comment if this info on Samsung is correct? And any idea, how much they offer for Chief Engineer? Info across Glassdoor, levels.fyi etc widely varying, unreliable. I am reading absolutely negative reviews about Samsung - WLB, politics, micromanagement, just like about Amazon. But I do know Amazon was great for me until it wasn't. Which one should I go for? Any advice appreciated. I might receive the final offer from ServiceNow before Samsung, should I just go for it, or is it worth waiting for Samsung? #samsung #servicenow
Why you want to leave Amazon?
I have left already. After 3 good years, and 1 year of tried toxicity, it was time for me look after myself.
Did you already leave Amazon ?
Yep
There are a lot of better companies hiring. DM me. Will refer you to some good opportunities.
Dm for salesforce if that excites u
Will do. TY.
Why don’t you move to US within Amazon?
Was too late to do that, I did try. And again personal reasons, couldn’t move countries. Also, I have left already.
4.3YOE -> Chief Engineer is there title inflation in SN India
Update: upon checking a few times, they said it could be lead engineer. Waiting on them to get back before I update this post. Btw, would be happy to hear a genuine review of the work and environment at Samsung. What can you tell me?

Chief engineer role starts at 6YOE. I’m not sure how your recruiter said it Also, yes, avoid Samsung - whatever bad things you hear about corporate are there in Samsung
It was a consultancy recruiter and I didn't want to believe it either - but I have the JD with this title now, so assuming true. Cleared a quite tough SWC Test - only 2-3 cleared out of 250 is what I was told. So not sure what strategy they have here.
Nope my freind received chief engineer at 4.5 YoE Since op previous comp is high they can give him chief engineer Chief engineer TC can reach 55 around afaik
